Dry Creek Vineyard Merlot 2014

93 Points - Tasting Panel

"A blend of all five Bordeaux varieties (78% Merlot), low vigor, gravelly, iron-rich soils influence concentration and minerality of this expressive red. Cherry-mocha-earth tones are scrumptious on the nose and translate to a juicy, opulent palate. Robust, with spiced black fruit as its anchor, blue flowers, ripe raspberry and red tea round out the complex finish." - TP

Dry Creek Vineyard was the first new winery established in the Dry Creek Valley after Prohibition. It was David Stare’s vision to plant Sauvignon Blanc that firmly cemented the winery’s legacy as one of California’s most important wineries. Since the mid 1980s, when they first put a sailboat on their wine labels, Dry Creek Vineyard wine has become known as the “wine for sailors”.

Dry Creek Vineyards was a sponsor for the Artemis-Challenger Team for the 34th America’s Cup!
